Friday Food Find: To the End of the Earth in Search of Guava Duff

The ongoing hunt for guava duff continued today and had us driving for what felt like forever (actually, it was about 30 minutes, but for us islanders that’s just shy of forever).  And without proper street signs and house numbers, we had to use “Island GPS”: “take the first left after the school, then the first right, then drive down to the eighth house on the right, rust colored, trimmed with beige”. Thankfully, the duff from Nicoyas Pinder lived up to its name – “Duff-a-licious” – and was worth the trek. You could say, it hit “duff” spot! 😉 (Sorry, we’re a little duff-happy at the moment.)
